Hello! Once again, it has been a busy summer, and I’ve been absent from posting. Well, I’m back to tell you about the best concert I’ve ever seen. Seriously, it was incredible. Coldplay is a great band. They have universal hits and attraction. In concert, it is kicked up to a new level. I was lucky enough to be in the 11th row. This may never happen again, so I soaked up as much as I could. I was so close to Chris Martin that it was almost surreal. As if I have to explain this,, they don’t play a normal show. It is a total experience. We had wristbands that lit up throughout the evening. There were bouncing balls, cannons of confetti, and enough lights to think Christmas was around the corner. Again, it was surreal. Musically speaking, they were fantastic. Chris was flying all over the place, making sure we gave him every “woooooahh” in every song. They played everything. Yellow, Fix You, Scientist, Violet Hill, Viva La Vida, In My Place… the list goes on. The setlist was secondary to the total experience. When you’re standing with 20,000 people, taking in lights, lasers, and the superstar band, it’s very hard to describe.
Overall, it comes down to one of those moments where you look at the person next to you and say, “Wow, is this really happening?” It happened, and I’ll never forget the Auburn Hills stop on the Mylo Xyloto Tour. I’m hopeful for more shows with this band.
