Many of you know that I like to be on top of the music scene. Recently, as a student teacher, I’ve been slipping. I’ve been a bit busy. This is my excuse for not fully discovering Florence + the Machine until the last month or so. VB beat me to seeing her in concert, and I’m just now catching up. I have a good seat to a show in July, and her 2 albums will be spinning in my car for a while.
Why? I’ll tell you why I love this music. Yes, I said it. I really like these albums. My first listen was a little unexpected, but these tracks have grown on me. The first track on the “Ceremonials” record is one of my favorites of the last year. To make a long story short, I’ll say that much of the music on both albums is chilling, moving, and addicting. That’s why I keep listening. If you don’t give Florence a try, then you’re missing out!
