Greetings from the French Alps! I’m back and wanted to officially give you some information on our new music!
Coming off of the Before You Go EP, we were looking to write songs inspired by the fall season, and one day, VB sent me a string of songs with a slightly different feel. This had both of us working on different material for the band and early last month, we found the time to get together and record The Autumn Sessions! The best of the newer tracks that Eric sent me is called “The Turning of the Seasons,” which you will hear as the first song. The long, instrumental intro was something we’d both been looking into doing with our own work. Next, “November Came” is a fall song that I’d been working on for a while. Together, we came up with a lighter version of the song, and Eric’s acoustic parts really added to the vibe. Finally, we leave you with a track that just had to be recorded, as it documents our trips to The Windy City, called “Chicago (It’s a City).” We had some fun on this one, and it was nothing short of hilarious to record.
It should be noted that these songs were recorded in one jam session! VB will give you more details and his thoughts, as The Autumn Sessions will be released tomorrow! Get ready for some new music and Happy Autumn!
