Recording Updates & Pacific Heights

May 2, 2012 | EVB

So just wanted to give the fans an update on my recording process.  Unfortunately, I’ve been bogged down by work and other fun stuff and its been hard to get much done.  I’ve decided to postpone the release of “Long Walks in Ann Arbor” to December this year.  I know it sounds like a long ways away, but believe me, it will be worth it!  There’s also a small chance I put another EP together this summer, so you’ll have that to look forward to!

In better news, I’m proud to announce that I’ve put a band together for a few gigs around Qualcomm.  The first was another Curbside Quisine yesterday.  David Tishenkel joined me on lead guitar.  We met during the last very successful Curbside Quisine (videos posted soon!).  Also, we’ve been selected to play at one of the QSOL (Qualcomm Summer on the Lawn) events.  To complete the band, Chuck Eggers will be on bass and Don Rayner will be playing drums.  We’re calling ourselves Pacific Heights, the name of one of the streets through Qualcomm campus.  We’ll play a bunch of covers for these events and see where things go from there!  More updates on QSOL coming soon!

In the world of new music, I got the deluxe edition of the new Jason Mraz album, Love is a Four Letter Word, on release day and have been listening to it straight since then.  One of us will put together a more formal review in the next few days, but I highly recommend checking it out!  Also, make sure you check out the live EP, which I might actually like more!
