Short Walks in Ann Arbor

February 21, 2012 | EVB

I am proud to release my EP, “Short Walks in Ann Arbor”! It has three tracks, all acoustic versions of songs that will be on the full album. “Take My Jacket” is a song that I’ve played several different ways with different people. Last winter, my band Running Blue made the Best of the Best Open Mic show and we played a very cool version of this song you can watch here: Running Blue Video. Over time this song has evolved, but I really wanted to get back to its roots for this recording. “Mira Mesa” was a song I wrote during my interview trip to San Diego. I’ve done some cool things with recording this song in the past, and I’m really looking forward to putting the album version together. “The Town Where You Lived” was the last song written for the album. It came later in the spring but really felt like it fit with the rest of the songs so I decided to keep it with these songs. I wanted to do a stripped down version so I decided to make this the last song on the EP. I hope you enjoy these acoustic tracks and are looking forward to the album!

Right now you can listen to the songs on my myspace, and a free download will soon be available! The photography credit goes to Mike Friedman, more on the story behind the photography in an upcoming post!
